Studio HMD – 5 Step Process
1. Initial Contact
When you call us on (02) 8018 9399, we will discuss your project briefly, understand your requirements and schedule an initial consultation. This first conversation gives us an insight into your vision and helps us prepare for the upcoming meeting.2. Consultation and Concept Development
At this stage, we will arrange a meeting to discuss the project in detail. During this meeting, we will delve into your design preferences, develop an understanding of your lifestyle, and finally, how you intend to use the space. We then use this information to develop preliminary concepts.3. Design Development
Following the initial consultation, our team will start working to develop detailed designs. This process involves thorough design thinking and testing to find the right balance between our client’s brief, budget and legislation. Using your feedback and our architectural expertise, we will refine these designs until they align perfectly with your vision and lifestyle.4. Design submission and Approval
Once the design is finalised, we will invite relevant consultants to provide their input, we will help you select the right consultants for the project. We will then incorporate the consultant’s input and submit the application to the council for approval. Following the application submission we have a follow up process in place, a team member will follow up with the council once a fortnight until the final approval is received.5. Construction and Project Completion:
After approvals are finalised, we can assist you in selecting contractors from our trusted network, or we can work with a builder of your choice. From here, we will oversee the construction phase to ensure that the integrity of the design is upheld. After construction is complete, we will do a final walkthrough with you to make sure everything is as per the design and that you are satisfied with the result.Studio HMD – General FAQs

At Studio HMD we understand each project is unique hence our design process is a fluid process catered to each project. Typically, our process involves six key phases: Pre-Design feasibility study, Concept Design, Design Development, Development Application, Construction Documentation, and Construction Administration. However, the process can be flexible and tailored to best suit the unique needs of each project.
Whilst we have the ability to handle a wide range of projects, our typical projects range from Luxury homes, heritage redevelopments, and low-rise residential buildings.
