This design in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs redefines dual occupancy living, situated in the leafy coastal suburb of Coogee, the development responds sensitively to its R2 Low Density Residential context.

Design Outcome:

The duplex design is conceived as two equally resolved residences, with matching architectural features. Warm timber screening and fluted glass elements introduce texture and scale, ensuring the property complements the coastal street, rather than competing with it.

To the rear, the design opens generously toward the garden, with a bold concrete structure, supporting cantilevered soffits that shade the timber decking below. Each residence is designed to maximise natural light and spacing, with large, sliding glazed doors connecting the ground-floor living areas directly to private decks and enclosed garden space.
